Photograph of the Year 2011-12

Our "Photograph of the Year" for 2011-12 was chosen by club members voting for their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice of image. The winning images were created by Chris Bell (1st place), Gail Amey (2nd place) and Harry Scott (3rd place). Points gained by other images are below the winning photographs. Deeside/Donside Friendly Competition

The annual Deeside/Donside Camera Club competition was held at Alford on the 12'th of April. The competition was judged by Anke Addy, with each club putting forward 20 images that were each scored out of 20 points by Anke. And the outcome was 326 points for Donside, and 328 points for Deeside!

Grampian Eye 2012

This event took place on Saturday 28 April 2012 in Alford Public Hall, Kingsford Road, Alford, Aberdeenshire, AB33 8HH. For full results of the event see Donside Camera Club. Deeside Camera Club came 5'th scoring 240 points, the winners, Bon Accord scoring 250 points with Donside and Mearns Camera Clubs sharing second place on 249 points. So a very close run thing indeed.

Photographer of the Year

The photographer of the year will be was! fought for tooth and nail by collecting points! For each assignment photographers gained points as follows: 1 point for every image submitted up to a maximum of three images; 1 point for coming third; 2 points for coming second and 3 points for first place. If the judge is a club member, then he/she gets three points for their efforts and because of course they could not enter the assignment themselves
